The Hong Kong spring auctions, which began April 7, took in HKD 347M in a three-day period.

“This is the fourth auction series we have hosted in Hong Kong. It has gained enthusiasm and support from collectors, with remarkable sales results,” said Hu Yanyan, president of China Guardian Hong Kong.

“In the past 20 years, our expertise has gained us strong support from our global clients, and we feel grateful to them. The local auctions have entrenched our belief in our long-term and sustainable development in Hong Kong, and our commitment to build a more diverse platform for international collectors, ” she said.

Guo Tong, manager of the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy department said, “This time we are offering about 300 quality pieces by influential artists, including Wu Changsuo, Zhang Daqian and Qi Baishi. Hong Kong artists are also available. The results are impressive as expected, thanks to the sound market environment here and our commitment to steady growth.”
